My experience with The Long Leaf

I have been testing out three of The Long Leaf’s product offerings, including their CBD oils, their Sour Bears and their mushroom extracts.

CBD oils

Daytime Oil:

I found the Daytime Oil with 1200mg full-spectrum CBD and Sativa-derived terpenes to be a game-changer for my productivity and for my general anxiety levels. It provided a gentle energy boost without any jitters, whilst keeping my anxiety in check. Which meant I avoided the usual tight chest feeling I get throughout the day.

Priced at £55 per 30ml, this oil does come at a premium, but I found its effects to be quite promising. In fact, it has been the most effective CBD oil that I’ve tried to date! It is a higher dosage than TRIP‘s highest dose oil, and you can tell.

Nighttime Oil:

The Nighttime Oil with 600mg full-spectrum CBD and Indica-derived terpenes really helped out with my sleep routine. Its calming effects helped me relax and improved my sleep quality. It was also keeping my bruxism at bay, meaning I would wake up with less jaw and headaches.

Its mild herbal taste pairs really nicely with chamomile tea, my favourite pre-sleep drink.

CBD Gummies

Vegan Sour Bears:

These sour bear gummies from The Long Leaf were incredibly moreish. They contain 10mg of CBD per gummy, which for me was the perfect dose. Mostly because it meant that I could eat more of them throughout the day. If you prefer, they have a few other options that contain 25mg per gummy.

Not only did they help me to relax throughout the day, but I really enjoyed their tangy sweet taste. I found myself reaching for these whenever I needed a moment of calm during work hours, and they never failed to deliver.

Functional mushroom extracts

Brain Bloom:

The blend of functional mushrooms and other nootropics in their Brain Bloom supplement was intriguing. It is great to see lion’s mane being used alongside other nootropics like L-Theanine and Bacopa Monnieri. All of which are known for enhancing the brain and increasing energy levels.

I believe they helped to improve my mental clarity and focus, especially during demanding workdays. As with most functional mushrooms, it did take a few weeks for them to start working properly.

8 Mushroom Complex:

With a blend of various functional mushrooms known for their potential health benefits, including lion’s mane, cordyceps, chaga and reishi, this supplement aims to boost overall health and immunity.

Incorporating this mushroom complex into my daily routine has shown promising effects on my overall well-being. While it’s challenging to pinpoint immediate changes, I’ve noticed a gradual improvement in my energy levels and a strengthened immune response over time. As someone prone to illnesses, I’ve yet to catch a cold since taking these!

Are their supplements safe?

The cannabis wellness industry is still relatively new, yet there are tonnes of brands offering CBD products all over the internet. It can be tricky to know which ones to fully trust.

This is why I really appreciate the transparency of The Long Leaf. They make sure to send their products to a third-party lab to test them and ensure that the contents are correct and safe. Which means you get the right amount of all the good stuff!

My verdict on The Long Leaf

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using all of the wellness products that I have tried from The Long Leaf. They are all effectively dosed and made using high-quality ingredients, which is clear to see when you start reaping the benefits.

My ultimate favourite product of theirs has to be their daytime CBD oil. It has been a game-changer for my anxiety levels. I would also recommend their nighttime oil for more subtle effects, or for anyone who is just starting out on their CBD journey.

It has also been great mixing up the ways in which I consume their CBD products. Having the occasional sweet treat has been really enjoyable. It is great for those midday munchies when a dose of oil just won’t cut it!

I’m looking forward to trying out more of their products as my own CBD journey evolves and as I continue taking their functional mushroom extracts, I’ll be sure to update this review on the long-term results!
