I have been the proud owner of a COSORI air fryer for a fair few years now (find out more in my COSORI Smart Air Fryer review). But after moving into a flat with a friend, I quickly realised that a single basket air fryer could no longer cut it.
I’d always seen the dual-zone air fryers (with larger baskets) as being a thing for large families, but it was fast becoming a lot more appealing with two keen cooks in the house.
So I was very excited when COSORI offered to send me their COSORI Dual Blaze Twinfry air fryer to try out. My flatmate was less excited when she saw the size of it. But the moment she started cooking in it, she was an instant convert.
In this COSORI Dual Blaze Twinfry air fryer review I will go into detail about my experience cooking with it over the last month or so. I will discuss everything from the build quality, ease of use, cooking results, energy eficiency, and the price.
Pros
- It is super quick and easy to cook anything
- Air fry mode makes food really crispy
- It is easy to clean all the components
- Much more economical than my oven
Cons
- Can be tough to empty the basket of food
- Takes up quite a bit of counter space

What is COSORI?
COSORI is a kitchen gadget brand specialising in air fryers, as well as multi-cookers, smart nutrition kitchen scales, and an electric kettle.
Their products are designed to be intuitive and easy to use, allowing you to cook nutritious meals even on a busy schedule.
They have a large variety of air fryers, with something suitable for most people. For example, large families will benefit from their dual basket units (like the Dual Blaze Twinfry I am reviewing here) or their tower fryers, and solo cooks will benefit from their single basket or mini air fryers.
All their products are pretty affordable, and everything I have had the pleasure of cooking with has been made to a high standard.
My experience with the Dual Blaze Twinfry
I have been using my COSORI Dual Blaze airfryer for the last month and have been cooking pretty much everything possible in there – from Beyond Burgers and fries, to tofu and roasted vegetables.

In this COSORI review, I will discuss the quality of the air fryer, ease of use, cooking results, energy efficiency, and the price. And you’ll quickly find out why it has quickly replaced my oven (which would now be collecting dust if it weren’t covered by my kitchen worktop)!

Build quality
I’ve used a fair few different air fryers over the past few years, including one of Ninja’s basic Air Fryer models and another COSORI model (the single basket smart air fryer). And I have always found COSORI’s build quality to be some of the best.
I often found Ninja’s basic models of air fryers to feel quite cheap and flimsy. In fact, one that I used for a while had issues with the drawer after just a few weeks of use. But with it being cheap, you sometimes expect that.
However, no matter which price model of COSORI that I have tried, all of them seem to be built to last. The Dual Blaze Twinfry model is no exception. The drawer is sturdy and moves in and out with ease. The digital interface is easy to use and, despite marking easily, looks like it will hold up well over time.
All of the components inside the drawer fit in perfectly, creating two sections to use either together or in isolation from the other. These components feel solid and are holding up great with daily use.
Like my older COSORI air fryer, which I gave to my sister when upgrading to this model, I can see this lasting a long time!

Ease of use
If you have never used an air fryer before, you may find it a little daunting at first, but I think COSORI’s digital interface is really intuitive and easy to figure out. It is also pretty effortless dumping your food into the basket, either in individual sections or the whole basket (depending on your needs).
They provide a booklet with instructions on how to use the air fryer, as well as a guide to cooking times for many foods like fries and cookies, including options for air frying, baking and drying functions.
When working out how easy the COSORI air fryer was to used I considered the different cooking functions, the time it takes to cook my food, and the cleaning:
- Cooking functions: This is a Twinfry model, so it has a large basket which can be sectioned off into two ‘zones’. This means that you can cook large quantities of food in one go or in two sections. It is really easy to set up both zones with different temperatures and functions (e.g. one air fry and one roast), and I found it super simple to sync them up so they’d finish cooking at the same time. I love this functionality, it means I can sit down and relax whilst everything cooks just right!
- Cooking time: As with most air fryers, I find the cooking times to be so much quicker than with conventional cooking. So not only do you just bung things into the basket and let it cook, but it is also much speedier, sometimes half the time than an oven!
- Cleaning: Whilst the large drawer can be a little tricky to move around to remove food (although it is much easier when using the provided tongs), I do find it really easy to clean. The internal components can be removed and cleaned separately from the basket, and all of them can be placed in the dishwasher.
So, all in all, this air fryer is an absolute breeze to use!

Cooking results
I used to be very suspicious of air fryers and thought they would only ever create healthier, less exciting versions of my favourite foods. But I have since been converted, because the results are often far better than what can be achieved in an oven or frying pan. Although that can greatly depend on what you are cooking (some things really are better cooked in vats of oil).
Whilst I often find the cooking results of most air fryers to be much of a muchness, I have actually found the food I am air frying in my COSORI to be much more consistently cooked to perfection. There is little need to move ingredients around to ensure they are cooked evenly, and everything cooks in little to no time!
I have been able to get super crispy tofu, which I then add into sauces, and the crispiness still holds up. Which is very much unlike the tofu I cook in a frying pan, which quickly softens once added to liquid.
It is also great for cooking fries. They come out with an even crispiness that I have always struggled to achieve in an oven. The best bit, it is cheaper than running my oven. More on that below…

Energy efficiency
One of the big selling points for me is the energy efficiency of an air fryer over an oven. Particularly when cooking food for between 1 and 4 people, because you don’t need to heat a whole oven to cook enough food for this number of people.
That being said, I was a little hesitant with this dual-zone air fryer (i.e. it has a larger basket) because it is a lot chunkier than the air fryers I am used to. So I assumed it would use a lot of energy to run. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the results on my smart meter.
Using both zones only went up to around £0.39 per hour. As you can see in my image above, the smart meter shows £0.46 per hour, and before turning the air fryer on, it was at £0.07 per hour (running other appliances in the house).
My oven is a gas oven, and it has sometimes cost a few quid per hour to heat up and maintain. COSORI say that you can save 66% on energy and cook 35% faster. Whilst I haven’t done the exact maths on mine, I can say I have enjoyed huge savings myself.
When I am cooking solo, I often only use one zone, and this is a bit cheaper to run. On top of this, when considering how much quicker things cook in the air fryer, you can save a fair chunk of money every month.

Price
At £249.99, this COSORI model isn’t cheap. But there are a few things to consider here. First of all, they often have deals on. So, at the time of writing this, they have a coupon for £70 off this air fryer, making it £179.99. The coupon can be applied directly on the product page (you’ll find it underneath the price).
Secondly, this is a beast of an air fryer. It is great for families or people who love cooking. Therefore, it’ll get a lot of use. And if you are like me, you’ll end up using it way more than your oven. So I’ve definitely got my money’s worth.
It is also similarly priced to other air fryers on the market. If you are after something cheaper, then you can get smaller models from as little as £49.99. So there are options for most budgets!

COSORI Dual Blaze Twinfry review verdict
I am a huge fan of my new COSORI air fryer. And my flatmate is too! We can both be cooking our dinner at the same time in separate zones (at different temperatures and using different functions if needed), spending less money than we would with the oven, and creating nutritious meals.
Since I’ve mentioned my flatmate in this review a few times, I did ask her if there is anything she doesn’t like about the COSORI air fryer. All she asked for was a window so she could peek in. Thankfully (well, not for us since we already have our model), COSORI have thought of this already, and actually do sell a dual cook air fryer with little windows and an internal light – you can buy it here.
I feel like I save a lot of time by being able to throw things straight into the air fryer. I don’t have to keep stirring anything, which means I can use my time prepping something else, or sitting down relaxing. Plus, it does have app functionality, which means I could even control it from my sofa, not that I’ve set that up yet.
Whilst most of the above are benefits of all air fryers, I do believe that this Dual Blaze Twinfry model from COSORI is a cut above the rest. The basket is huge, and I love that you can use it as one big grandzone or separate it into two. Plus, being able to sync the two zones to create a complete meal that finishes cooking at the same time is absolute genius.
I am looking forward to seeing how many other things I can do with this. Up next, baking and dehydrating. Watch this space!
