Tempeh originates from Indonesia and is made by fermenting soy beans into a firm block. It is not to be confused with firm tofu or silken tofu, which are made using soy milk so have a smoother texture. Being a fermented product, tempeh is great for your gut and thanks to the use of soy beans it is packed full of protein. Like tofu, it can be used in curries, stir fries, and as it is.
Take a look through all of my recipes, guides, and reviews on the magnificent ingredient that is tempeh.
