Jackfruit is a fruit that is common to tropical climates in Asia and can also be found in South America. It is traditionally eaten when the fruit is ripe and yellow. But it is becoming a lot more common for it to be eaten whilst the fruit is young. The young fruit is used a lot as a vegan meat replacement and is easy to find tinned in supermarkets.
